There is a lot of work going on at the Sanctuary site! Dr. Ben Lovvorn gives a video update on the project. Crews have constructed a foundation necessary to support our upcoming construction of a crane, which will be used to build the new Sanctuary over the next two years.
The foundation for this crane is about 19 feet by 19 feet, filled with 250,000 pounds of concrete. The crane constructed on this foundation a few weeks from now will reach 180 feet into the air.
As we lay the foundation for the crane and for our rebuilt Sanctuary, we should be reminded of what God’s Word says: “For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is in Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 3:11). Christ is the ultimate foundation and builder of our church. As we build up this physical structure, we want to build up our church spiritually for the glory of Christ.
