This Sunday is a major milestone in the life of our church. Nearly two years after the day of the tragic fire, we are breaking ground on our new Historic Sanctuary. God has been faithful to First Baptist Dallas, and this Sunday will be a testament to His goodness and grace.
In the last couple of weeks, we have received our full building permit, clearing the way for the completion of the project. The entire northern plaza is now completely demolished, and our crews are almost finished with the masonry work.
This Sunday, we will be streaming the groundbreaking ceremony into the Worship Center, Truett Chapel, and many Sunday School classrooms. It will be an opportunity to reflect on God’s faithfulness to us for the past 156 years, as we look ahead to building a new Sanctuary that will be a physical testimony to all that God has done for our church, for the glory of Jesus Christ.
Following the ceremony, everyone in attendance will be able to pick up their commemorative bookmark. You don’t want to miss this special day in the life of our church!
